“If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.”—Henry David Thoreau (via reluctantbuddha) (via quote-book)
About Econ hw again: Are we supposed to skip a line between each vocab definition? I couldn’t believe he went through every detail of how he wants this to be formatted. .___. I should’ve taken notes! After the political journal, I really don’t want to lose any more points for stupid things.
And do you actually write about the “Consider the following”s?
Apparently only about 1 out of 4 high school seniors are prepared for college.
I feel incompetent in my English and reading. Math is always there. I can only hope that my science is “college competent,” because I’ve only taken regular high school science classes. Maybe I’m exaggerating.
“'To be, or not to be.' That is the question.
Whether ‘tis nobler of the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing end them?”—William Shakespeare (Hamlet)
Okay, I think my first trip to Tii Cafe will be next week when tutoring starts. (<— I just accidentally capitalized tutoring, and then I thought.. Tutoring is so important, I probably should capitalize it. Haha)
I wish I could get to Office Depot for my colored Sharpie this week though (only $1!).
“Some things, however, are true no matter how hard you might try to block them out, and a lie is always a lie, no matter how prettily told. Some doors, once they’re opened, can never be closed again, just as some trust, once it’s been lost, can never be won back.”—Alice Hoffman (via kari-shma) (via quote-book)
Finished reading Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I can’t wait for the next book to come out (next week)!
I forced myself to do as many Calc problems as I could, and I attempted a couple. I think most of them are wrong though, and I still have nearly half the packet I haven’t done. >< Went to Rhea’s house. Talked about school. They made jello and finished their English 1A assignment. I ate mocha almond fudge ice cream when I could have had an ice cream sandwich. Rhea packed her backpack. There’s not much to bring on the first day of school.
No Inception. :( I am seriously disappointed. What now?
There are a lot of things that inspire me. Music is one. Another is seeing other people’s works of art (badly represented by the web-like thing that’s supposed to be the “Internet”). And anything else I find beautiful or impressive. :]
I really don’t know what I’m going to do about Calc homework. :\ Library’s not open today, and even if it was I’d feel bad for calling somebody out just so they could help me with the packet. I doubt I’ll be able to finish it by Friday. u_u
I changed my Theme today. (To keep myself from getting “depressed” like yesterday) Well, I went through 2 of them because the first one didn’t work out. It was really similar to my old one in that I could customize and have about 6 different colors. I edited all the colors to what I wanted (which took forever), but then I discovered that my YouTube videos wouldn’t scale down to fit into my post boxes. So I had huge videos sticking out and it was all distorted. -_-
Thus, I’ve installed a different Theme, which only has 2-3 colors. This is the first time using the background I made years ago in a Photoshop tutorial.
I’ve never watched 10 Things I Hate About You before, and for a while I wasn’t even sure whether it was a movie or a tv show (it’s both ?! :|), but I stumbled across it on YouTube so I’m going to watch it. :D Heath Ledger & JGL!
